How to Keep the Love Connection Flowing Past Valentine’s Day

“Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you.” So tell them … again and again. You don’t have to stop showing your sweetie how much they mean to you.  Continue giving them the royal treatment after it passes. The time is always ripe to express your love. How can you love your Valentine after Valentine’s Day? Let’s count the ways:

  1. So much so that I leave a sticky note on the bedroom mirror when I leave the house telling her I miss her already.
  2. So much so that I text love emojis from my phone throughout the day to let him know I’m thinking about him.
  3. So much so that I send her a YouTube love song that makes me think of her.
  4. So much so that I forward her a beautiful quote I found online to her inbox.
  5. So much so that I sit through Monday night TV football games, by his side, even though I hate football.
  6. So much so that I present her with a red rose on an ordinary day, when she least expects it.
  7. So much so that I cover him in blankets, hand-feed him homemade chicken soup, and monitor his condition like a mother hen when he’s home sick with the flu.
  8. So much so that I tell him I can’t imagine him not being in my life.
  9. So much so that I drive home after a long, tiring day and take her out to a fancy restaurant she’s asked me to take her to.
  10.  So much so that my heart flutters when I hold him in my arms and I tell him so by whispering in his ear.
  11.  So much so that I read her poetry during our quiet times together. “How do I love thee, let me count the ways …”
